The date for KnitFit 2012 has been set and we are ready to hook and knit the day away on February 25th, 2012 from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Donation bins for yarn, needles, hooks and completed projects for donation have been circulated throughout the Cape Breton Regional Library Branches. If you have unused yarn, extra notions, or warm winter woolies lying around the house to donate, please drop them off at your local library branch.
This year, all knit items will be donated to the Salvation Army, Clothe-A-Family. The Cape Breton Regional Library is pleased to report that just before Christmas, 120 knit and crochet items were delivered to Loaves and Fishes and all of the items have been distributed!
As with previous years, pledges collected will be in support of children’s literacy programs at the library. Click Here to download a pledge form.
